No Bull Cause is a clothing brand that repurposes unwanted garments into new merchandise. Founded by Felix Toohey, it operates as a zero-waste business focused on recycling, rebranding, and selling sustainable clothing that doesn’t cost the earth.
Felix discovered my work, and together we developed a new line inspired by club mascots, featuring an illustration screen-printed on recycled sportswear.

DEVELOPMENT












In my spare time, I had been creating a series of illustrations focused on wild cats, drawn to their snarls, roars, and confident demeanour. This exploration evolved into a collection celebrating both the beauty and power of these animals.
Felix requested I use this art style, for the mascot design.


Similar to a can crusher, Felix inspired the design of a wild cat biting down on a can, symbolising the brand’s mission to recycle and repurpose sustainable fashion. The cat gazes calmly into the distance, unbothered by the crushed can between its jaws, representing power over waste. Rather than being overwhelmed by it, the cat takes control, reflecting No Bull's ambition to reduce fashion waste.


The cat’s eyes are stylised from the recycling logo, reinforcing the brand’s eco-conscious purpose. As a visual metaphor, the design resonates with audiences who are passionate about sustainability, empowering them to choose change.


I redesigned the logo, drawing inspiration from vintage sportswear, featuring a bold sans-serif style that ties into the sporting aesthetic still popular today.


To accompany the illustration, I also designed an animation of the cat crunching into the can. This provides dynamism to the still illustration, further acknowledges the message communicated, and perfect use for social media teasers for the apparel drop.
