THE SCOPE

No Bull Cause is a clothing brand that repurposes unwanted garments into new merchandise. Founded by Felix Toohey, it operates as a zero-waste business focused on recycling, rebranding, and selling sustainable clothing that doesnt cost the earth.

Felix discovered my work, and together we developed a new line inspired by club mascots, featuring an illustration screen-printed on recycled sportswear.

THE PROCESS

In my spare time, I had been creating a series of illustrations focused on wild cats, drawn to their snarls, roars, and confident demeanour. This exploration evolved into a collection celebrating both the beauty and power of these animals.

Felix requested I use this art style, for the mascot design.

Like a can crusher, Felix inspired a wild cat biting a can, symbolising the brands mission to recycle and repurpose sustainable fashion. The calm cat, unbothered by the crushed can, shows power over waste. It takes control, reflecting No Bull's goal to reduce fashion waste.

The cats eyes are stylised from the recycling logo, reinforcing the brands eco-conscious purpose.

Inspired from vintage sportswear the logo features a bold sans-serif style that ties into the sporting aesthetic still popular today.

THE DESIGN LANGUAGE

The illustration tells a story rather than just showing an image. It symbolises taking control of waste, highlighted by the cat's eye design, which provokes confidence.

The identity engages audiences in sustainable practices, symbolising empowerment and change.

An illustration symbolising the brand's goal to reuse and resell sustainable clothing, emphasising dominance over waste.
